Why does the holiday season always fly by?? I don't even know where this year has gone...

Well Christian is still not walking... he has taken one step three different times, but he is still more interested in crawling.

This last month has been overly crazy though! He is such a little boy that loves trucks and being a dare devil... he climbs up the stairs when I turn around and then stands up on the balcony and shakes the bars and pretends like he is going to jump down... ug! Scary! And then he loves to play in his room... probably the main reason he goes upstairs so much! He has big tonka trucks that he pushes around his room and he has little cars that he drives around a rug track. Yeah, he is a boy!

We also got the privilege of having another little boy around for a weekend this month! It was so much fun! Tyler and Christian are little buddies that play and mimic each other and just have a great time. It is hard to imagine that anyone would ever only want one child! Tyler and Christian are just 6 months apart and they are just so cute together.... here are some pictures to show it!

High Five Victor!

Ah! Yeah, he likes to be loud!

Goldfish

Christian is now at the age where he is eatting.... and eatting a lot! He actually has eight teeth now and he is really good at chewing. He will even chew when you tell him to and he doesn't even have anything in his mouth... lol!

So I bought some of the little 100 calorie packs of goldfish. The fish are a little smaller than the regular packs. When he was eatting lunch the other day I gave him some goldfish and he really examined them as he picked them up. And than he did it... he just bit off the head! How funny is it that he didn't bit the side or anything else but the head. and he didn't just do it once. He did it with every goldfish he ate. It cracked me up so much! He is so dang smart I just can't even believe it!
I am sure he didn't really know what he was doing but it sure was funny!! Next time he eats goldfish I will take some pictures!

Halloween

Well Christian's Halloween was great. The day flew and I don't think we did half of what we planned. I really wanted to cut open a pumpkin and let him play in it but we just didn't get there. Christian's Nana came up to Bakersfield for the day and we did shopping and all that fun stuff!
So after we had a spaghetti dinner and we all got lots of laughs from that. After getting cleaned up we got Christian dressed up. We got him a costume that fits him very well... a monkey. He was a good sport and gave us laughs he probably never knew he could give us! After he was dressed he crawled up onto the entry way and stood up on the bars and proceeded to dance for us, or pole dance as I call it since he is dancing while holding onto poles... lol!

We didn't do any trick or treating... no one needed the candy and since he is still only crawling it wasn't like he could walk up to doors. We took him to some friends and families homes and let them see him.

All in all it was a great day!!
Here are some pictures for your enjoyment!

Christian eatting spaghetti... he had noodles everywhere.

This is my pumpkin that I was suppose to dig in...

Christian was pole dancing and his little tail was swinging... Nana was sitting behind laughing very hard!! I think Christian realized everyone was laughing at him and he get shy!

Even baby monkeys need milk

Well Baby Check Up

So yesterday (October 29th) Christian had his nine month well baby check up. WoW! How scary! Everytime I say 9 months it almost makes me want to cry! So as we all know Christian is just fine and nice and healthy! He continues to grow nicely and he is now 20lbs 5ozs. He is getting tall too... already 29 inches!

He also got his last of the hepititis B shots so he is good on shots for another 3 months. He did really good with the shot, barely even fussing. Wow, I remember in the hospital when they had to do that little card with the heel of his foot. I thought all shots would be that bad! Thank God they arent cause if they were I dont think he would get shots. I would be one of those parents that is anti-vaccine for there children.

As for an update on what he is doing these days... he is still not walking, but I keep saying soon. He does a lot of cruising on the furniture and even stands without holding on. He will walk when he is pushing things around the room. Kinda funny though, he walks with his legs spread apart... lol! That is about all for now! He is doing great and is loved more that ever!!

Look at me grow!

So when Christian was only about 3 months old we sat him in our big executive chair. He looked so little in it but he sat there and acted very proud. Victor and I got a good laugh from it so we decided to take his picture. Well with the lines in the chair we thought it would be a good idea to take his picture in it every few months. So when he was a few months older we took another pic and man could you tell he had grown... and today Christian tried to climb into the chair. I thought it was a good day to take his picture again in it. I still can't believe how much he grows everyday! Not just his body but his understanding and reasoning, as well. I never thought the day would come that he would try and climb into the chair. Pretty soon he is going to be the one having to sit in it to type his school papers... what a scary thought!! So here are the new pictures of him in the chair along with the pictures when he was smaller.

Today, October 26, 2007, and just over 9 months old

And now I am standing too... we can't seem to keep him still for one minute!

When I was only 5 months old... it was July 3rd

And when he was so little (yea right, he was already big to me here) at only 3 months old (March 10, 2007)

The holidays are right around the corner

As the holidays are approaching us, I am jumping for joy inside. I love this time of year! Everyone is so much nicer and decorations and shopping and the smells. I love looking at all the decorations people take so much time to work on. I think we are even going to decorate this year. And the smell of everything begins to change with the change in the season. Every morning when I walk outside I can tell that the holidays are upon us with the smell of cold mixed with wood burning. I just love it.

So this year I think I am going to make two attempts to make my life easier. One, I want to have all my Christmas shopping done atleast two weeks before if not by the 1st of Decemeber. And I want to make a pledge to myself that I will continue to loose weight even through this time of candy and cakes and pies and fudge. Well, I plan on still eatting fudge, but I will just have one or two peices instead of 15! Yum, the thought of fudge gives me the urge to bake!
Although I am jumping for joy inside it is getting so scary, too! Christian is already 9 months old and cruisin all over. By Christmas he will be walking if not running and I know he is going to be more of a trouble maker than ever. It scares me to think that will be a year just shortly after the mad rush of the holidays.

As this mad rush approaches us I am trying to keep up with everything. So we went to the pumpkin patch with Christian a week and a half before Halloween. Is that considered keeping up, ahead, or on time? Well, whatever it is we got there. It was fun to watch him as he wondered why we were taking him on the side of the road with all the weird orange balls with stems coming out the tops of them and as he craweled around discovering them. I always wonder what he is thinking about.

So here are some pictures of the pumpkin patch! Enjoy them! And try to stay calm as we enter this mad rush that we call exciting!
